I live in Cape Town, but often recommend Kensington 2 Inn 1 - it's a beautiful guest house run by two friends of mine. They do clever little things like keep bookings at all the nice restaurants during the main holiday season, so that their guests don't have to worry about getting a table. www.2inn1.com
