Great High End Chinese Food... if you try dim sum for lunch during weekdays its cheaper (approx. 2-4$ per dish) The place is right next to the zoo opposite the petro vietnam tower

Very local place to enjoy great Malay/Indonesian/Halal Food... have my office lunches there. It is behind the mosque in dong du... on the sheraton side. go past the motorbike parking in the back... i think it is only serving food during lunch, great curries. No Menu pick straight from the pots, cheap and delicious

to say I DRINK WATER FROM THE TAP in Saigon for five years and no problem is by far the most idiotic thing i heard since living here... and boy i met idiots... Buddy I smoke since 15 years -and no problem so far- doesnt make my future cancer go away you moron. Its not about food poisoning when it comes to tap water in developing countries but neat things like lead poisoning, viruses etc... For any tourist: its true to not be afraid of all small things like ice in a glass or the glass itself, just go ahead and go by your guts like you would do at home what looks ok is probably ok.

This is the place where we had dinner on our last night in Vietnam and we couldn't have asked for a better place to end the trip...Quan Nuong is awesome - an open-air (retractable roof) barbecue restaurant hidden on the third floor of a building off Nguyen Hue that is always packed with patrons (locals, not tourists) who come to cook up their meal on their own table-top gas grill...Can't emphasize enough that this is a must-do for anyone visiting Saigon....
