Bob Bourgeois replied over 2 years agoMilwaukee is a little bit of an undiscovered jewel. Our endemic lack of self-esteem and genetic predisposition to modesty keep it that way. But here are some facets of this jewel that would make an interesting weekend:
Lake Park on the east side. Designed by Frederic Law Olmstead, including an 18-hole pitch-and-putt course, a terrific bistro, lovely trails and delightful urban and lake vistas.

The Historic Third Ward -- just south of downtown Milwaukee, loaded with boutiques, restaurants, antique stores, galleries and night life.
