Leigh Cooper replied over 4 years agoTh Elliott Bay Book Co. is well worth the trip alone. You can get lost browsing for hours in such a large and quaint bookstore. Also, if you're into books/architecture, Seattle has one of the coolest public libraries in the US.
The drive up Lake Washington Dr. offers some gorgeous views. Find a place to pull over and take a walk up the winding hills and you'll find some great spots to ponder.

Rachel Lund replied over 4 years agoCertainly the best dining experience in the Northwest! Stunning 180 Degree views - unique as they peek over South Lake Union and Gasworks park. The new chef, Jason Franey, is creating some fabulous food: like Rhubarb Soup and Lamb with his own house-cured Marguez. Nothing, however, beats the feeling of being expected at the valet, greeted warmly by the fire, and escorted through an evening of hospitality learned over 3 generations of the Canlis family.

Nancy White replied over 3 years agoThe Ravenna branch of Vios, inside of Ravenna Third Place books, is also wonderful. In the morning yummy egg/bacon sammies, scones, muffins and french toast. Savories at lunch and dinner are light and flavorful. It seems there is always a buzz of people coming in and out, but no feeling of being rushed.

Ken Heutmaker replied over 3 years agoA Seattle classic! I've found that out-of-towners don't appreciate Dick's as much as the locals, but it's a great place to get cheap burgers. Dick's Deluxe with fries and a chocolate shake: Yum.

Jaime Vogt replied over 3 years agoA relatively new Light Rail line now serves the Seattle-Tacoma International (Sea-Tac) Airport, it goes to Tukwila, South Seattle, and Downtown. It runs about 20 hours a day during the week (about 5 a.m. to 1 a.m.) and it’s a fast trip downtown.
