lara behnert replied over 3 years agoIf you love art, architecture, and other good visual things, Stay downtown at the Hotel 1000 (or the Edgewater or ACE Hotel). Have breakfast at Fonté, then visit the Seattle Public Library (designed by Rem Koolhaas), and the SAM Olympic Sculpture Park for amazing works of art and a glorious view over the Sound. Hop a cab north and go shopping in Ballard, make sure to check out Space Oddity for oddball furniture, and then head over to the Vintage Mall in Fremont. Head back south, get a cocktail at Shorty's, play some pinball. Go change and then head up to Capitol Hill for dinner at Osteria La Spiga, Café Presse, or Bimbo's Cantina. Have a drink at The Hideout, Tavern Law, Oddfellows, Linda's or The Saint. If you need a last nightcap on your way back to the hotel, stop by Vessel or ZigZag downtown. On Sunday, take a trip to Georgetown and check out Fantagraphics, Great Stuff and other cool shops. Have lunch at the all vegetarian Georgetown Liquor Co. if its raining or Smarty Pants if it's sunny (there's outdoor seating). If you've still got steam, check out the Museum of Flight before you head to the airport.
