I usually eat at the Hotel I am staying at in most cases the DoubleTree Guest Suites on Westheimer.

I'll contradict my colleague and friend Thomas who said he eats at the hotel. When I travel, I never, ever eat at the hotel unless I am very desperate. Houston has so many places. For a typical Houston experience, east at Hugo, a nice Mexican restaurant on Westheimer between Dunlavy and Waugh, or at Tila's, another nice Mexican (not Tex-Mex) place at Shepherd and McDuffie.

There are so many good rplaces to eat in Houston. It depends on what part you are staying in. But if i had to pick one place I would say Lupes Tortilla. Great mexican food and good atmosphere. Abiza is a great place for latin/cuban food.
