The Ragin Cajun on Richmond near the 610 Loop is always a great bet!

Taco Milagro, at the corner of Shepherd and Westheimer, is a great Mexican diner. You order and pick up your food at the counter, and you can reload on chips, salsas, and iced teas all you want. Simple but tasty food, not greasy at all. The patio is nice except during the hottest days of the year, but there is also ample space inside, and the staff is friendly and efficient.

Vietnam Coast on Hillcroft.... If you are in the Galleria area it's great. They even deliver nearby. Don't be put off by the slightly run-down strip center neighborhood, it's amazing. Vietnamese eggrolls are the best here, as is almost everything else! Even if you are not sure you like Vietnamese, get the Linda Special, everyone that likes it!
