The best places are the local coffeeshops. Check out Doubleshot, Shades of Brown, and Cafe Cubana. There's also quite a few bars with free internet also. Check out Arnie's Bar, downtown.

All the Panera Bread's in town also have free WiFi, and check out the Nordaggio's Coffe shops. I believe their WiFi is free with a coffee purchase.

There's always the St Louis Bread Company / Panera (my favorite being on 15th St....) and the Qdoba on 71st has free wi-fi, along with Cosmo's, which is a restaurant/coffee shop/bar close by on Memorial across from Woodland Hills shopping mall.
