Karine Wilson replied over 3 years agoI had my own car broken into in the parking ramp at Crowne Plaza, over $3,000 in damage, & the hotel told me, "Wow. That's too bad, not the first time we've heard that...". Boo for Crowne Plaza! So then there is the Doubletree downtown, which I have stayed at since for quite a few visits. Free warm cookies at check in, and they'll fill you're every need. It's hard to believe, but those are really your only downtown options. Neither one makes me super happy.
If you've got time to travel, I'd recommend Marriott(s), and the shuttles from the airport are free. Courtyard on 71st is very clean & pleasant. Big Marriott on 71st is fantastic.
There are also cabins for weekend rent through the State Park west of Bartlesville (north of Tulsa), but you have to reserve them almost a year in advance. Other local "cabin rentals" are older & don't have fireplaces... 70's decor abundant east of Tulsa.
