Cheapest of the Cheap Hotels. As a farewell me and a friend are taking another friend to NY for the weekend. We're from Boston and getting there by bus.

What hotels would you recommend that are fuss free and easy to get to and out of? We're looking for hotels under $150 since we'll only be staying the one night.

Also, bonus if you know any good little places to grab a bite and explore.

We are looking at some tourist-y spots but I personally would also like to see some more out of the way places.

So, anyone have any suggestions?
