Mihnea Miculescu replied over 3 years agoIf you're in 'tourist mode', you should definitely hit Times Square and make a reservation at "The View" at the Marriott Marquis.
You're not necessarily going there for the food or service, but essentially for the only revolving rooftop restaurant in the city - it's fun.
Watch out, though, the restaurant only has a prix fixe menu, which will get you close to $100 including a drink and tip.

Yuri Kye replied over 3 years agoI love Old Devil Moon on 12th St and Avenue C. Delicious soul food type cooking with a bit of East Village flair. Also I absolutely loved Community food and Juice in Morningside heights, it's a walk through a park (literally) from the Harlem subway stations, but serves delicious breakfast and a great dinner. There are other wonderful places to eat in the area - local diners, brasseries and it's very close to Columbia University. 103d st and Broadway.

Michael Leung replied over 3 years agoGreat place in the city, called DB Bistro Moderne. Great burgers, and their fries are so well done. Expensive, but well worth it. 55 W 44th St.

Ferdinando's Focacceria Restaurant (718) 855-1545 151 Union St, Brooklyn, NY
For a rice ball. If you don't know what that is, you are in for a treat. Imagine lasagna made with rice in a ball the size of a softball. FANTASTIC! It's a hole in the wall, but it's been around forever.

There are so many countless food choices in NYC, any answer is totally dependent on context and audience. This is an asinine question.
