Rich Lloyd replied over 3 years agoEmpire Diner is a great diner as seen in, amongst other films, Men in Black II. A good sightseeing eatery alternative to Katz's Deli. The food was very nice and the interior is as classic as it gets. Also close to Chelsea Piers where you can play a little baseball in the batting cages if you live outside the USA and like ticking the boxes on 'things to have done before you die'. :-)

Rich Lloyd replied over 3 years agoThe Bentley was a great choice of hotel when I was in NYC on holiday with a friend. Its location meant we saw some areas we may not have visited and we never felt far from all the usual attractions. Rooms were well finished, clean and comfortable and staff very helpful and the price was good value. Amazing views at night from the rooftop bar.

Philippe Borremans replied over 3 years agoI can see how New Yorkers and Americans like this place as it has "something" of France... The thing is, you also see people at the bar "reading" the old copy of the Le Monde newspaper while they don't understand a word of French... The food was OK, the service impersonal but correct and the interior very "European". As a Belgian, I must admit, this was maybe not the place to go for me as I compare to much with "the real thing"....

Brandon Evans replied over 2 years agoGruppo was by far the food highlight of my month in New York, it demanded a second visit. The best pizza I've had in my life, thin-crust or otherwise with very fresh ingredients and wonderful service. If you've got a party larger than 4, see if you can get the back table, it's a bit cramped but adds to the atmosphere. (we fit 10 in there :D)

Nita Padavil replied over 2 years agoCome here for Hookah in a variety of flavors ($20 a pipe) and moderately priced drinks (though the sizing runs small). The atmosphere is beautiful, especially at night, with an outdoor courtyard and a ceiling covered in grape wines and white lights. Indoors the decor mainly centers on the stained glass windows that give the whole place a sacred, secret feeling.
