They have multiple locations throughout the city.
Awesome cubano sandwiches for $6-7. Killer chicken, rice and beans for around the same.

Kimmy Ratican replied over 3 years agoGrab a slice! I love Two Boots (mostly in downtown) and Ben's (one in SoHo, one in NoHo). Can't beat a filling and delish meal for $3.00. But if you're looking for a good sit-down place, I love Bruschetteria in the LES - a $5 bruschetta is filling and incredible!

dreXeL ... replied over 3 years agoMy fav lunch place is the Roebling Tea Room on Roebling and Metropolitan in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. The food is amazing and the prices are too. It's one of my fav dinner places as well. The menu changes twice each season, the food is healthy and the chef comes up with really interesting and yummy combinations, using seasonal foods. Entrees are $6-10. You really can't beat it. Plus they have like 100 kinds of tea, a full bar, couches, free wifi when it's working, an outdoor patio in summer. Trust me on this.

David Berkowitz replied over 3 years agoOn the Upper East Side, I'm partial to Papaya King, where you can get a gut-busting meal for about $5 (with some of the best hot dogs in the city).
Union Square has several options, including rival falafel places. There's the old standby Rainbow Falafel on 17th near Union Square West, and there's the new contender Moshe's served out of a truck on 17th St by 5th Ave - get it with the big Israeli salad.

Kellan Elliott-McCrea replied over 3 years agoFor loose definitions of lunch (because really, who knows what time of the day or night it is?), but strict definitions of budget, Punjabi Grocery & Deli at the corner of First St., and First Ave. is the best value for money, anywhere in the city, 24 hours a day. Look for the green awning.
