in downtown buffalo, a necessary stop for shopping is the elmwood village -- you can find Everything you might need or want (or both), for anyone and everyone you could possible want to purchase a gift for. my personal favorite stops include: sunday skate/bmx (for all your skateboarding needs and nice & helpful owners), the village beer merchant (great food and a bunch of local and non brews on draft to fill up your growlers), spoiled rotten boutique (for kitschy gifties), shoe-fly (to gaze at the new fluvogs i want to prance around in), urban roots garden center (they're going to get in venus fly-traps in the spring -- really really cool ones!!!) , the indie market that features a bunch of local artists and their wares, and poster art (where they will get you WHATEVER you are looking for)...and a cafe stop is SPoT coffee. ...there are more, there are others, ask me and i will tell you!
