    Excellent coffee in Williamsburg

El Beit on Bedford and north 8th has excellent espresso (arguably the best in the area), and a nice patio in the summer. Usually quite busy. Also: free internet; just ask them for the password.

Egg is a perfect local spot for brunch in Williamsburg. Consistently tasty, nice atmosphere. Does get busy on the weekend, though.

Excellent ricotta pancakes on the brunch menu. If you are there for desert, the sticky date pudding is a winner. The affogato is also not to be overlooked.

Gorgeous sushi in generous portions in this informal little restaurant. Wine was a bit rough, but otherwise lovely.

    My Brooklyn Foodie Recommendations:

Bar Tabac on Smith Street, right by the Bergen F/G. My favorite spot for Brunch. Frankie's 457 on Court Street, just down from the Carroll St F/G. Really inventive spins on classic comfort food, served with locally sourced ingredients. Beast on Vanderbilt. Wonderful tapas place. Also, of course, Amornia. My favorite pizza in New York, very light and flavorful!

Pequena - two locations. One in Fort Greene and another in Prospect Heights. Black Bean and Sweet Plantain Quesadilla is a must have. Fort Greene is a smaller location...super small dining area. One on Vanderbilt has a sit-down bar.
