Todd White replied over 4 years agowe really enjoyed the Shed in Santa Fe - http://www.sfshed.com/home.html. one thing to keep in mind is that just about everything has green chilies in it. another great place for breakfast is the plaza cafe. this is a breakfast must (http://www.thefamousplazacafe.com/). lastly, we enjoyed the Sleeping Dog tavern for lunch or dinner - http://www.sleepingdogtavern.com/. relaxing, nice food and casual. oops, almost forgot the Pink Adobe as well. that is good food to - http://www.thepinkadobe.com/. though, we did like the Shed better than the pink adobe. the pink adobe had more odd choices fro our taste.
enjoy!

Mike Orshan replied over 4 years agoDepends on the budget. Assuming medium range, I'd say El Farol. If the weather is nice ask to be seated in the back.

Per Håkansson replied over 4 years agoTry the Tune-Up Cafe and their Purpusas or Chile Rellenos - superb. It's a small, unassuming and simple place with amazing food. Another gem is Cafe Pasqual's.

Peter Jacobson replied over 4 years agoFor your first time in Santa Fe I'd say eat on or near the Plaza. The Ore House is excellent, great food & service. A little on the pricey side but not too bad. Back in the day (1990s) I used to cook at La Casa Sena, they have excellent red & green chili (and singing waiters, if that's your bag). Definitely go for some native cuisine, which means red or green chili, posole, blue corn tortillas...
