Embudo's pretty far from Santa Fe. Try Santa Fe Baking Company (on Cordova Rd) for a different kind of local scene, it's inexpensive, they serve breakfast all day, there's wifi. Also the Red Enchilada on Osage at Cerrillos. The farther you go from the Plaza the cheaper it will be. Close to the Plaza would be the Burrito Company (actually not too bad if you don't mind Canola oil) or the French Pastry shop at La Fonda (great quiche).
