I almost always stay at the Jack Daniels Motor Inn in nearby Peterborough, NH: it's inexpensive, clean, and the rooms, while somewhat spartan, are serviceable. There's also free wifi, and very helpful staff.

Alternatives to the Jack Daniels are local B&Bs (several in Peterborough, one in Harrisville, and more in the surrounding area) or chain hotels in Keene, NH (about 30 minutes drive west).
