Martin Davidson replied over 4 years agoWith so many different tastes to satisfy, it's hard to name a "best" place, but Winston-Salem has tons of friendly, original eateries well within the budget of today's traveler. Some local favorites along Fourth Street are West End Cafe, The Filling Station, Skippy's (hot dogs on a pretzel bun - yum!), Hutch & Harris, Cat's Cradle, NOMA, Mellow Mushroom, Jimmy John's, The Broadway Deli, and Downtown Thai. Within a few block's walk are: Mary's Of Course!, Finnegan's Wake, Murphy's Lunch, Meta's and perennial favorite Sweet Potatoes.
