My favorite reasonably priced lunch in Durham is probably a sandwich and salad from Toast in downtown.

Two great spots to eat on a budget: (a) Fosters Market on University Drive has outstanding soups, salads and sandwiches at fair prices, (b) Bullocks BBQ on Quebec St is very reasonably priced and a wide variety of foods.
