You can make a half day out of The Jackson Agriculture and Forestry Museum, and The Natural History Museum about 5 minutes from each other on the Eastbound Lakeland Drive exit of I-55.

Downtown Jackson offers the Smith Robertson Museum and Eudora Welty's birthplace very close to each other, and the planetarium and art museum are also close to each other on the other side of downtown.
