This was an amazing hotel I stayed in. Best service, excellent food, the atmosphere was so modern I loved it! I would highly recommend this hotel, if your willing to splurge a little!

Don't stay there at the moment as they have construction work going on and you will never be able to sleep. Don't be fooled by the low price!

Nice, atmospheric hotel in a restored Victorian fire station

The Mariott at Copley Square (http://www.marriott.com/hotels/travel/bosco-boston-marriott-copley-place/). I've stayed there multiple times when my parents have come into town and when initially visiting schools -- reasonable rates and practically in the middle of town. It's directly across the street from the Prudential Center and a block away from the scenic Christian Science Center and Copley Square. Easy access to the T and only a 10 minute walk to Park Street and other tourist venues.

This is actually a collection of bed and breakfasts in the Boston metro area (most are in the city), managed through one point of contact, which is the Boston Bed and Breakfast. In comparison to the various hotels in the area, their prices are one of the best for a comfortable place to stay. I haven't stayed here yet, but am really impressed already with the efficient reservation service and friendly, knowledgeable staff I've interacted with.

Not a great hotel, they have PizzaHut on the menu... jesus.
