Peter Cook replied over 3 years agoRead the Gambit - New Orleans' local alternative newspaper, which is available practically everywhere. Not only does it list the city's expansive (and usually free) live music happenings, but every issue includes the week's "Best Bets" - local events worth attending during both the weekend and the rest of the week.
