Christian Renaud replied over 3 years agoThe downtown Des Moines public library has free wifi and a nearby Starbucks. During the warm months, you can sit outside with your coffee/tea and enjoy the weather and free Internet access.

Elisabeth McLaury Lewin replied over 3 years agoMars Cafe, on University Ave between 23rd and 24th Sts, has wonderful coffee drinks and free wifi. It's right down the street from Drake University, and perhaps a mile from Downtown Des Moines.
Also, coffee shop/comic book store Cup O Kryptonite also has free wifi. It's on Fleur Drive, just a few blocks north of the Des Moines International (ha ha) Airport.
Finally, Panera Bread and Caribou Coffee shops all have free wifi. But what's the point of traveling, if not to drop in on one-of-a-kind, unique places?
