    Mexico Lindo Restaurant

The Kailua Restaurant alone was really nice but OMG the Kailua Pig Tacos here rocked. I really enjoyed the hell out of them, and so did my wife. We will be returning often to eat there.

Vit's Hawaiian Steakhouse in Waikiki is great, and the maitais and long island iced teas are HUGE :)

Tokkuri Tei in Waikiki had amazing food across the board from sushi to tofu to yakiniku! The handrolls were especially great. (http://www.yelp.com/biz/tokkuri-tei-honolulu)

Orchids is an excellent ocean front restaurant at Halekulani hotel. They have fantastic Sunday brunch buffet, which is very popular and you should book in advance. This is a dressy place, but well worth putting on a shirt and pants.

had to try it once. on a good note, the ginger is very strong and tasty. otherwise, you absolutely get only what you pay for. if you're hungry and aren't picky about quality, this is for you. lots of rice to just slivers of fish. this one makes me wonder what "zagat rated" means on dopplr since no rating system is obvious on any restaurant listing.

Went here for lunch after visiting the Honolulu Academy of Arts. Had tried for dinner, but we never quite worked that out. When I saw they had a buffet lunch, I was skeptical because most buffets favor quantity over quality. This did both! The food was amazing. There's lovely outdoor seating under umbrellas available in the garden. Note, unlike the average buffet, this one has little old ladies compiling your plate to your preference, and there's a limited pu pu menu to choose from if you don't wish to do the buffet. A lunch special drink menu includes a $4 lychee martini. The dessert menu looked fabulous. DEFINITELY WORTH A VISIT.
