Jerry Perullo replied over 2 years agoSmith's Olde Bar is likely your best bet. Firmly in the middle of midtown, rock n roll.. venue upstairs with good bands etc. Smokey, somewhat loud, pool table area, generally filthy... guitars as decoration... On the irish pub front, there is limerick junction and hand in hand in virginia highlands, and a newly rebranded place called The Nook right across from piedmont park. It used to be in the hand-in-hand british/irish pub (we combine them here) lineup, and I presume it is still similar after being rebranded...
