  If it's a nice day, walk around Piedmont Park. The new aquatic center is terrific, so bring your suit and your iPod to avoid all the noise from the little ones. You can also hit the Atlanta Botanical Garden along the way and if you're missing your puppy back home, visit the dog park. Don't go the convenient route and eat lunch at Park Tavern. Just outside the main gate along Piedmont Ave. is The Nook - great summer day bar food.
