Terry Dickerson replied over 2 years agoIf you find yourself in Atlanta on a Tuesday… Actually, if you’re going to Atlanta, make sure you’re there on a Tuesday, because once a week in this converted gas station, starting at 5:30 p.m., chef Scott Peacock serves up his famous (for good reason) fried chicken with mashed potatoes, green beans, and biscuits. The lunch here, served daily, is essential, too; try the stone-ground shrimp grits, followed by either the pimiento-cheese sandwich (only octogenarian southern ladies do it better) or the white-truffle chicken salad sandwich. And don’t be put off by the fact that Emily from the Indigo Girls co-owns the place; the band is an Atlanta institution, and the restaurant has become one, too.
