elise baracos replied over 3 years agosouthwood for golfing, second cup for breakfast, st. marks trail for biking, kleman plaza for the kids, railroad square for offbeat shopping and art, red bar at the winery for jazz, coach's to watch sports and tip a pint ... but best to take a jaunt ... go to wakulla springs, hit all of the nearby beaches --- these you will remember fondly. some like bradfordville blues club --- hard to find and not everyone's cup of tea. still, tallahassee is good stop on way to navarre beach or to mid and south florida. try the chicken salad sandwiches at lindy's -- add lettuce and cheese; not bad. burger bar outside at chez pierre at night is good, cafe cabernet has decent wines. wish there were a good french restaurant, but no. kool beanz is liked by many. good place to visit if you are a runner, but best if you want white sand, unspoiled, private beaches. st. marks is great if you like birding. can be a bit hot in dead of summer. makes for great winters, however ...
