The best place for sunset cocktails on the roof. From a well-traveled man, you have not lived until you had some frosty ones on the roof at the Hurricane. It never gets old each year when I visit. Situated seom 6-8 floors up in the sky you can see the ocean, intercontinental waterway, Tampa skyline, and a kick arse sunset. Luckily, where we stay at the very most tip of Pasagrille is 1/2 mile walk to the Hurricance otherwise I'd find a way to drive a car into the ocean because their drinks are strong. My suggestion... Rum Runner with an extra shot (floater) on the top. Don't expect to be served food on the roof, you won't. The other 7 floors serve great beach food.

the Z-Grille () downtown is quite outstanding.
