Jon Gilbert replied over 4 years agobest surplus ever
Skycraft Surplus has the most eccentric and diverse collection of surplus gear I've ever seen. And it's very well sorted, which is a bonus! I never fail to go there when I visit.

We were headed to Pebble's @ 12551 S Apopka Vineland Rd, Orlando, FL 32836. We couldn't find it we but we found Johnny's Hideway. Funny as we walked in we realized that this was the right address but a differnt joint. It was new, they have only been open 9 days. The wait staff was working in tandom as there were people in training. They were extreemly plesant and at times a little pesky. The food was really good and maybe a tick on the expensive side. I wish I could come back in 8 months and see if it's the same way. Their menu is a rather large slab of wood trimmed in leather. They have great attention to little details.

Casey Brown replied over 3 years agoGoing to Universal?
Stay at one of Universal's Hotels. You are within walking distance of everything: both parks and all the shops at City Walk. (There's even a water and bike takis if you don't feel like walking.)
You also automatically get front-of-the-line access to both parks for your entire stay *free* with your room key. (To get "Universal Express" without staying you would have to pay a price ranging from $19.99 to $55.99 + tax per person, per day.)
It's definitely worth it and can help you get to see everything in a lot less time. :-)

Mark Woodson replied over 3 years agoBest Used CD's
Park Ave CD's is the final product of a chain of used CD stores that I had frequented over the many years that I lived there. While the store is no longer on Park Avenue in Winter Park, and is now on Corrine Drive, the selection of new and used cd's, vinyl and associated merchandise is excellent. A helpful and knowledgeable staff help round the picture out nicely.

cavale replied over 3 years agoMaitland Arts Center
It's beautiful. Wander around this former art commune from the 1920's/30's. At this hidden gem, you'll find amazing Mayan and Christian influenced carvings, a fountain, two museums and they still have an Artist in Residence! You won't be disappointed.

cavale replied over 3 years agoEnzian Theatre
A lovely comfy little cinema that serves beer and pizza along with it's carefully selected independent films. They also host multiple film festivals throughout the year, a $5 showing of a great modern classic film each month, and family friendly movies in the park every month for free!
Have a delicious meal at Bucca di Beppo, and then head across the street to catch the 9'o'clock showing at the Enzian.
Locally owned and supportive of indepent film, makes me all warm and fuzzy just thinking about it!
