Ryan Stewart replied over 4 years agoAwesome spot for tea. Very close to Dupont Circle and good, chill environment for getting work done or relaxing.
The Ginger Lemonade is also awesome on a hot day.

Peter Sharma III replied over 4 years agoDC is a greta place for skating. Wear a police whistle and use it. These folks pay attention and will give you your lane. The road around the ellipse is a wonderful blading zone.

Hunter Styles replied over 4 years agoTraffic on M Street is hectic, but you'd never know it sitting in Pizzeria Paradiso. Wonderful menu of pizzas etc... economical but inventive and delicious. Try it in the warm months when they open the large glass panel windows to the street... the whole place smells like olive oil and summer breeze. Also has a large bar downstairs with options to reserve for birthday space and larger parties.

Peter Kirn replied over 3 years agoIf the crowds get you down at the Smithsonian, make a b-line to the Sackler and Freer Galleries, right next to the Smithsonian Metro stop. These tranquil galleries are often overlooked by tourists, leaving their stellar collection of Asian art, special exhibitions, and an extraordinary Whistler collection to you. Head through a lovely garden to the Sackler in back, then explore the connecting Freer with the Whistler-decorated gold-and-blue Peacock Room, transported here from London.

. Troy replied over 3 years agoThe Shining meets Hotel California. What a gem of a place. 100 rooms, corridors which lead everywhere and nowhere and every room crammed with objects for sale: from the curious to the worthless. A stay here can be simultaneously both surreal and unnerving. Just don't drop any LSD. I once met Frank Zappa while staying here. We made breakfast together in one of the shared kitchens.
