The Mansion on O Street is reasonable (at least by DuPont Circle prices) and is wild. Very eclectic and interesting museum/hotel. It's really difficult to describe, except that there's no place like it anywhere. And the restaurant serves pretty decent food, too. http://www.omansion.com/hotel/
