If you are downtown and want a bit upscale, consider Bistro Vendome in Larimer Square. If you want a decent, not expensive steak head out to Bastien's on East Colfax. If you want diner food, you would be hard pressed to do better than Sam's No. 3 either downtown or in southeast Denver/Aurora. For a feel of the old west, consider the Buckhorn Exchange a bit south of downtown.
