Theodore Vaida replied over 3 years agoTake the cog railway up to Pikes Peak. Its open year round. If you are in shape and adventurous, try hiking up and taking the cog railway back down.

Canon City is a quick drive up into the mountains. I would go white water rafting in the summer. I recommend American Adventure Expeditions www.AmericanAdventure.com. They have great colorado rafting trips, amazing staff and beautiful facilities. The best outfitter on the Arkansas River!
