  How can you not like a hotel that features a big pink neon rotating flamingo?

  Pros: It's in Santa Rosa, so it's close enough to wine country to make it worthwhile. It's cheap. It's got a massive pool in the middle of the complex, as well as a nice hot tub.

  Cons: The bed isn't terribly comfortable, and the pillows suck. The rooms aren't well sound-proofed, so you can hear everything going on in the hallway and in the surrounding rooms. The staff were slow to restock the towels poolside.

  Would I stay there again? I might. It was cheaper than the other hotels in the area, so if there were another $50/night savings to be had by staying there, I might give it a go again, if I bring my own pillow and some earplugs.
