Check out the Santa Monica Farmer's Market for some fresh goodies and then explore the shops along the 3rd Street Promenade. Follow up with an afternoon on the beach and sunset drinks at The Lobster.

Take the walking tour of Downtown Santa Monica, it's a great way to get to know some of the history and architecture of an area that most people only consider for the shopping and the beach views, near Third Street Promenade. There's a site for the Santa Monica Conservancy (http://www.smconservancy.org/walking_tour.shtml) with details. After the walk, you'll be hitting lunch time -- recommend a spot at Anisette for locally-sourced, farmer's market seasonal menu fare at a wonderful french bistro that is housed in a fantastic space in one of the historic buildings, that was once a bank.

go to the Arbor Sta. Monica and have a good time taking pictures and off course take all the rides at the amusement park.
