Rose Shuman replied over 4 years agoVery tasty, interesting fusion cuisine - Cali-Mex. Organic famrer's market produce, good fish, good vegetarian options. Delicious tortilla chips to snack while you wait. Reasonably priced.

Natalie Burdick replied over 4 years agoIf you go here after 630pm most days (or lunch on the weekends) be prepared to wait in a line.
But note the ONLY thing they serve here are burgers (customizable by size, meat, toppings (including a selection of sauces), bread and other details)...so come prepared for meat, a crowd and the din of a popular, casual dining spot.

Natalie Burdick replied over 4 years agoWith so many Italian places around, it's sometimes hard to find what's special about any one Italian restaurant. That's not so hard w/ Fritto Misto -- it's the selection of pastas and sauces and the improvisational mix and match options they offer for putting your meal together.
Get's crowded on weekends and the quarters are somewhat close, but the food here is consistent and above average, and the atmosphere friendly and informal.

Natalie Burdick replied over 4 years agoThis is one of my favorite local spots...opened in '08 in what was previously a bank building, lending this brasserie an amazing space of soaring ceilings, tiled floors, wood paneled walls and leather booths, with a one of kind zinc bar.
This place serves up strictly traditional french fare (so don't go if you're not a fan of french food or if you're on a tight budget) -- and it does what it does with style and perfection. Every dish here is a delight, and it's great for brunch on a weekend (reserve ahead) or a late night bite. The vegetable dishes, from fresh salads to pomme frites, also exemplify the restaurant's emphasis on local, farm fresh and organic ingredients.
Great space, good service and fantastic food...

Leigh Tran replied over 3 years agogood service, good food and choice (though i'm a bit over the californian propensity for "fusion" asian food, this is one of the better ones in santa monica) and nice decor.

Leigh Tran replied over 3 years agothe vegetarian options at fritto misto were a bit underwhelming for me - not really the kind of amazing italian i was expecting, more of a californian derivation. but the portions were generous at the very least.
