Closed (date Sept 2009). Plans to reopen under original ownership.
Closed. Reopened as Cantwell's, but generally same menu.
Great little independent coffee shop with lots of bulk candies and gifts to pick up on the way out. Super friendly and helpful staff.
Long time closed.
Sunday suppers, four courses with choice of main. Prix fixe at $23.50. Great recession special.
Fridays only at lunchtime they serve gyros made from scratch. Only place I know of in SB that makes its own gyro meat. Delicious. About $8.75, on par with other delis that serve gyros.
Reopened under original ownership (for wine portion), dining portion run by owner of bouchon and Seagrass. (date Dec 2009)
We had the Palak Paneer and the Chicken Tikka Masala. Both were excellent and served in rather generous portions.
Nice outdoor patio on the W Figueroa side of the building. Good coffee, local art hanging on the walls, spacious, and just a little bit pretentious.
Giant $8 mimosas served in mason jars! Tasty omelets and scrambles too.
Their chicken is perfectly moist, and the marinade is delicious enough to forgo hot sauce.
This business has closed. Karim is still available for private catering and has teamed up once with Soho restaurant and club as a guest chef.
