  I love this hotel. It's inexpensive and quite central to Fisherman's Wharf. If you're really not up for the most expensive stay in the city, consider being 'down the hill' and closer to the water. The best part about this location is you can easily travel either by streetcar or cable car, by ferry, on foot or by bike (hire at pier 39) or vehicle (car rentals in Beach Street) to anywhere you desire. Easy drop off from SFO or Oakland Airports by SuperShuttle too. Friendly staff, and will generally accommodate early check-in where possible if you end up lobbing in to town on an early flight. I've stayed here twice, and for the price, not been disappointed.
