    Inn San Francisco

This is an amazing little hotel in the Mission, close to lost of bars and restaurants. The owner is super friendly and often gives good discounts in the off-season.

This tip has the address "943 South Van Ness"

The rooms are very nice and the location is very handy for Moscone Center.

The restaurant is very overpriced. Like most very expensive hotels they change for internet access (which I hate) and the channel selection is poor (should you wish to stay in your lovely room for a night and rest)

The Green Tortoise is a hostel in the heart of the city. Cheap and cheerful.

I like the hotel, but the fact that the French doors actually open to a non-balcony is very creepy, like "have you felt like killing yourself today?" Other than that, gorgeous, well-decorated and well-managed.

Quite corporate, but has superb views. I stayed on the 27th floor and had a superb view across Union Square/downtown, the financial district and out to the Bay Bridge. Very close to Market and to the Powell St BART to get to and from the airport.

The hotel is an excellent hotel with a warm and helpful staff. The hotel is located just 3 blocks away from chinatown and union square and is in a very safe locality (Nob hill)

Decent (motel) room, but in one of the sketchiest neighbourhoods I've been in in a while.

The Triton is a lower star level than most other Kimpton hotels, and you can tell. The rooms are small, there's no central air conditioning, and if you look closely you'll see the painters missed the bottom half inch of every door the last time 'round. On the other hand, the location (right at the Chinatown gate) can't be beat and the staff is fantastic.

Triton used to be the only place I stayed in San Francisco, It's quirky reasonably priced and friendly. Quirky seems more the norm with hotels now, but the triton we're there years before.

This is a great, little hotel -- vintage place with classic amenities; GREAT prices, VERY friendly staff, excellent location and free wifi. Unfortunately, management has closed their restaurant; bad call! But Lori's Diner and Sears Fine Food are within 1/2 block!

Cute older style hotel, great location and we easily caught public transport from the airport to the hotel. Staff were friendly and very forthcoming with directions. Very clean and comfortable. Spacious room.
