(Dopplr: Don't make me look up an address like this! Almost every "tip" will relate to a location, so look it up on the fly when the user types in a place name. Come on now, you're a location-based service; we shouldn't have to remind you of this stuff...)

Yuri Kye replied over 4 years agoSaigon Sandwich Shop on Eddy and Larkin. It is close to Civic Center/City Hall so very accessible by public transit, and these lovely Vietnamese Sandwiches - Ban Mi - only cost $3 each. I'd get like 1.5 per person and it's VERY filling, it is roasted pork sliced, drizzled with sweet/slightly vinegary/savory sauce, filled with lettuce, julienned vegetables, sliced fresh hot peppers on french rolls crisp on the outside and soft and chewy on the inside. It's the best ban mi you can get in the city.
