J.D. Falk replied over 4 years agoIf you can only eat in one Chinese restaurant in San Francisco, this should be it. Don't let the lines scare you off (or better yet, go on a weekday.) Eat whatever the old guy recommends; it'll be delicious.
Where's good to eat in San Francisco?

Rebecca Pruzan replied over 4 years agoSushi Ran in Sausalito is amazing! Sit at the bar and endulge in the beauty and taste. The best sushi I have had in the US! For Chinese I love House of Nanking on 919 Kearny St in the Financial district. If in doubt let them order for you - and do get the string beans!
For brunch I like the Grove either on 2016 Fillmore St.(between California St & Pine St) or on Chestnut (2250 Chestnut St. between Avila St & Scott St). Great food and good vibes for your Sunday NY Times reading :) I also love Dottie's on 522 Jones St (between Geary St & Ofarrell St) for breakfast - but not the place to bring a Sunday paper: The line is always VERY long so bring a coffee and patience...
