Lucha Libre Taco Shop. Check it out at www.tacosmackdown.com. The theme is silly and fun, but the food is delicious, inexpensive, and the staff is friendly and helpful. It's definitely a one-of-a-kind place, and absolutely worth going.

My favorite place is Cass Street Bar & Grill in Pacific Beach. It's a small sports bar and they have a delicious menu, including the best fish I have had in San Diego for incredibly cheap prices: A fresh fish plate (generous portion/catch of the day) goes for $11 with two sides.
