There are many good restaurants in Palm Springs. Dinks is a fun place and serves American food. Sherman's deli is great, The Falls is great for prime steaks. Pomme Frites is great for Begium food. Johannes is a great restaurant and is top rated. Matchbox is good pizza and bistro food. Wang's is great for Chinese. Native foods is a great vegetarian restaurant.

This is my favorite dressy place to dine in Palm Springs. It is fun to sit at the bar and have a gourmet bite to eat, and to have an interesting conversation. The menu changes, and it's never a boring one. For the quality and presentation of the food, I am pleased when I get the check. The Purple Palm is set in a historical building where there had once been a speak easy in the basement. Some of the staff will tell you some stories about it. The hotel is very tastefully re-done too. Charming setting.

This is a family owned and very friendly coffee house. Here you can chat with the friendly and interesting owners, and sample a mix of Middle Eastern and deli foods, as well as good old American wraps and pizzas. The coffee is great, and there is very large selection of teas. The food is healthy, and there are some vegan meals, such as the Massa Plate. I love to sit in the warm fall-winter-spring sun, read the paper or a book, or simply people watch on the outdoor patio. You'll meet people from around the world, locals and even some Hollywood people. There are good bands on some weekend nights, many on tour and known to the young. Free Wi Fi, and a computer you can rent to check e-mails.

The Garlic Edeme is the best Edeme I have had. Very tasty. The crunchy rolls served here are also tasty and well presented. They have a variety of rolls to chose from, and other Japanese dishes. It's not only Sushi, but a full variety. It's fun to sit on the outside patio next to one of the fire pits in the clear desert air having a bite to eat and a cosmo.
