Carolina Liechtenstein replied over 2 years agoThe ride up to about 8000 Ft. is amazing, and you can see the entire Palm Springs, Palm Desert area, and even the distant Salton Sea. There is a restaurant at the top, and a snack area. There are hiking trials that will take you through an alpine climate. It is very cold on top sometimes even during the summer, and you must bring a long some wilderness common sense. Once you leave the large lodge, you are in a very wild area that has big cats and bears. So please know what you are doing. I like to drive up the little road to the foot of the tram, and simply sit by the waterfall or in the patch of woods there and read a book. Very peaceful. Still, even on the foot of the tram there are animals. Heads up.
