Satsuma is an unassuming little sushi place on El Camino Real. Great sushi, and it's almost always easy to get a table. I highly recommend the ankimo (not on the menu) and all the special rolls are good (especially the ninja roll).

Shalimar, also on El Camino Real (I think right after Bernardo), has great Indian food (careful, it's spicy). The mango lassi is to die for and they have the best tandoori chicken i've ever had.

Taqueria Los Charros on W Dana just off of Castro has fantastic breakfast burritos and is good at lunch or dinner as well.

Vaso Azzuro on Main Street is excellent. The owners, Michael and Allan, are geat and, if you're lucky, Michael will serenade you with an aria or a Queen rock ballad.
