Kampala, Uganda + Add a trip

If you are near the Speke Hotel, there is a free internet access there. There are places to eat in front, so you can eat or drink something and use the internet for free there.

Unfortunately, a few times during last week the Speke access point did not offer an internet connection. I tried from the cafe area next to the street. However, it might have been a temporary condition.

Currently I find Good Africa Coffee (one in Lugogo mall by Shoprite and Game and one South of Kampala at Quality Hill by Labowa - there are other locations in K'la) to have the most dependable free internet. You just need to order something and ask for the code - the signal is usually strong enough to skype, but visitors to Kampala will find that internet in general can be unpredictable though it is generally getting better and better.
