Hamdi Et Lokantasi

Great lokanta above Eminonu with perfect view toward Beyoglu and Galata. The entrance is bit hidden, but well worth a look.

Havuzlu, not 360

Got food poisoning at 360 and heard from locals this isn't uncommon.....but the view was great and drink menu was fun (although expensive....20 YTL for a drink, 30 YTL for the most pricey dinner item).

Havuzlu (in the Grand Bazaar)was amazing. Definitely go there if you can.

Great Turkish Food

Very traditional and casual. Sit outside on the terrace. Not very expensive. Right off the main square.

5.Kat, Cihangir

The staff are a bit too cool for school but really really great views, atmosphere and decor. The food is pretty good. Walk down from Taksim Square or up from Findikli tram.

Italian Dining at Bice

Giovanni Terracciono does a great job here and the price is right. Pasta is fantastic. So is the rissoto. He even makes his own focaccia bread. Try the linguine con le Vongole. Also the tagliatelle with mushrooms and black truffle. The artichoke salad is a great starter. Wine list includes some nice wines from Turkey. Desserts are fantastic. Chef Giovanni Terracciono is the nicest guy you ever met. He is from Napoli.

Pandeli - turkish cuisine

Best home-made food in the old-city situated immediately at the entrance to the egyptian bazar, egg-plant salad or egg-plant-begendi, lamb roast and cold starters, taste all very good.

Iskele Restaurant at Bebek is one of the most fine fish restaurants in city, tipping & reservation is required.

Ali-baba kebap place in Besiktas (Ihlamur Cad. Sinanpaşa Yeni Hamam Sk. No:13/3 ). Best waiters ever, great food. Looks a bit downscale but don't let the looks deceive you. Chicken shish is great, if you're really hungry go for the "Ali-baba special"

For a intimate and charming dinner, book a table at Rami and enjoy the beautiful Blue Mosque at night. Great food and service, quiet place.

Im from Istanbul, if you look for Good Fish restaurant aroudn Boshporus deffinatly Set Fish restaurant located Kirecburnu. For international cousine and ambience Ulus 29 with gourcious view of boshporus bridge. Night club Angelic on Ortakoy.

I would say Sur kebab in Unkapani. It is on Itfayi street. Try to find it.

Nice view, but touristy crowd + inflated prices.

I'm sure that there are places that are more authentic, but for the price and location, this is pretty tasty food.
