metraveling nyc replied over 4 years agoHQ Hostel
I stayed at HQ Hostel during my last trip in Bangkok. It's very cool, hip, clean, convenient and very affordable. I'm very impressed with excellent services from their staffs as well as the central location of the hostel. Also, the place offers me comfortable living that makes me feel like staying in 5-star hotel. Recommend to all

Magnus Hägglund replied over 3 years agoNice, rather quiet and affordable prices for backpackers! And the best of all, they have zero-tolerance against prostitution!
Nice staff, good restaurant and cozy "atmosphere"!

Wendy Bo replied over 3 years agoLocated just around a few corners from the Baiyoke Sky Hotel in the heart of the lively Indian/Pakistani Pratunam market district. The hotel has tiny but immaculate rooms, friendly staff, a scrumptious vegetarian hotel restaurant and free wireless internet in the rooms (get password from front desk.) Cab drivers will likely have trouble locating the place: Take a left at the Baiyoke Sky Hotel when coming from the main road, then a right, then another right down a narrow street at the intersection across from the Kat Walk shoe store. When returning for the day without bags you can have cabs drop you off at the Baiyoke or at Indra Square and walk in. If you don't plan on spending a lot of time in your hotel room, this place is fantastic! $25/night in a fun shopping area = good times!

Wendy Bo replied over 3 years agoBeautiful hotel with an incredible breakfast buffet! The rooms were lovely, the 24-hr pool was very nice and the Skytrain stop just a few meters from the front door was extremely convenient, but our favorite thing about staying here was the absolutely fantabulous breakfast spread. At diplomatic rates of around $150/night after taxes it was a good deal for a luxury hotel, but I would not pay the full rate - especially not in Bangkok where there are hundreds of decent hotels for a fraction of that amount.

Ed Macovaz replied over 3 years agoNice hotel and great service. Location is a little bit hard to get in and out of, but cabs are pretty easy and cheap in Bangkok so that's not much of a problem.

Gael Ovide-Etienne replied over 3 years agoThe Shangri-La is located next to the river and has a great buffet to offer for lunches (which I recommend) and dinners.
Apart from that, it is walking distance to the BTS, which is great to use when in Bangkok (lots of traffic in the city, and the BTS stops at all the major shopping stops in the city).

Gael Ovide-Etienne replied over 3 years agoExtremely high-end hotel. I would recommend this hotel for business travelers, in need to be in the Sathorn area.
Their lunch buffet is probably the best in Thailand (amazing wine list on top of that).
This hotel also runs a serviced apartment in Bangkok called Siri Sathorn A Beauford Serviced Residence.

Christof Van der Stichele replied over 3 years agoDon't stay here, avoid at all cost!!! Classic bait & switch: misleading website lets you choose a promotion package and when clicking 'Reserve Room' on the page of chosen package, it surreptitiously leads you to a non-promomotional rate at similar price, without all the benefits of the promotional package. When confronted, staff refuse to take any responsibility.

Pavel Semenov replied over 2 years agoI really liked the hotel (actually an apartments). Recently renovated, high quality, spacious rooms. The ideal bathroom. Great view from the balcony, beautiful clean outdoor pool. The diverse and high quality breakfast. Location is perfect - 2 minutes to the BTS station and public boats pier. And all this for a very reasonable price.
